AUDIO: Rampage - Run For Cover ft. Money Stax

I won't lie, I haven't been on my blog game like I needed to be lately, and thanks to the homie Relself for getting up them last few videos.  Right here is a perfect way to end the year and start a new one, with a new banger from a collective of some of my favorite Dallas artist.  When you toss Wordlife, The Rapture, & Dow Jones over some hard hitting beats from M. Slago you get the Rampage EP.  This is the first single, "Run For Cover" ft. Money Stax, to get you prepared for the project available digitally on Feb 1st.

You can follow them all on twitter, to stay up to date with this release and more hot music.

The Rapture - @TheCoOp420

EVENT: FREE WEEK HIP-HOP ft. Crew54, Riders Against The Storm & More

Transmission Entertainment is bringing live Hip-Hop to Free Week Tuesday Jan. 4th at Red 7 with live performances from Crew54, Riders Against The Storm, Kill City, The Means, & more.  Free week is the annual jump off of the year, where lots of clubs in the Red River district open up their doors for free with plenty of great shows.  This is one of the only Hip-Hop shows I've seen, and I think its going to be a great way to start the year off, no bias. In fact don't take my word for it, check out what the A.V. Club said about it.

Among the acts helping to establish Central Texas’ hip-hop clout, few hustle harder than Crew 54 and Riders Against The Storm.
It's going to be a great event, and we'll have some surprises for yall.  Let's get 2011 started off with good music and good fun.

54 Reality Show: 12-09

This might be the last 54 Reality Show episode of the year, well till the year-in-review but this one is a doozy. Episodes like this show me that there are some hip-hop artist who above alot of the drama that hip-hop gets associated with.

First we start off speaking with Megaran who was in town with producer K-Murdock for one of their two stops in Austin on their Bits & Rhymes tour.  They speak about how they came together to form their Forever Famicon project and also what its like on the Nerdcore/Chip-Tune Circuit.

Chicago MC, Rhymefest, who has been featured before on this very blog, was in Austin on a cold night thanks to the folks at Illscene.com and BoycottMag.com.  Quick shout out to the the boys Stormshadow and Poise & 20/20 for holding down the opening duties, also Cientifiq for bringing Killeen out to watch him rock it live with us.  When we got a chance to speak with Rhymefest, he let us know about his upcoming bid for the City Council in Chicago.  Visit Aim20.com to find out more.

Crew54 was also apart of a very powerful event at the Orun Center organized by some good friends of ours, Riders Against The Storm.  It was a dope event, and we were glad to be apart of it.  Check it all out.
