To jump it off I head back to whats quickly becoming a staple of not just this video blog but the Austin hip-hop scene, DJ Notions Beat Marauders. The homie Mallz was in town (shout out to Zillz) and he took a minute to get familiar with Central Texas MC's and BBQ. Then I went to check out the Tribe Called Quest "Beats, Rhymes, and Life" documentary screening party with performances from some 54 Reality Show veterans. Da'Shade Moonbeam, Queen Deelah, Riders Against The Storm, and others whipped the crowd into a frenzy before they settled down to one of the best documentaries I've seen in a while.
If you still don't know, G-Christ is currently working overseas, but he went cribs "Iraq Style" and sent us a quick video showcasing his current living conditions and giving a brief bit of insight into whats going down. I hear he's working on tracks too, but "shhh" y'all didn't hear that from me, ok? To wrap it up, the big homie Bavu Blakes was in town for the listening party to his new project produced entirely by Reggie Coby. Sanct is the name of the project, and its going to be hard for you to find me a BETTER 5 song project out there. It was a crazy event, and we were there first hand to give you the goods. Check it all out.
